Flatout Autos Reimagines a Classic C2 Corvette

When it comes to blending vintage style with modern performance, few builders do it like Flatout Autos. At SEMA 2025, Rob and his team unveiled their latest creation, a completely reimagined C2 Corvette that captures both elegance and raw power.

This car started with performance in mind. Under the hood sits a 625 horsepower Blueprint LS 427, equipped with a Reaper CVF Front Accessory Drive Kit. Everything in the bay is smoothed, painted, and detailed for a clean presentation that matches the show stopping exterior.

“It turned out amazing,” Rob says. “We painted everything to match and made sure it looked as good as it performs.”

The car rides on a Roadster Shop Spec 7 chassis, giving it modern handling and structure to back up the looks. Custom billet wheels by Curtis Speed tie the stance together perfectly.

Inside, the transformation gets even more impressive. The interior, crafted by Renegade Customs and Covers in Little Rock, was inspired by a Bentley GT.

“The owner wanted the car to feel like a Bentley GT,” Rob explains. “So we literally went to the Bentley dealership, picked out materials, and built from there.”

The cabin uses genuine Bentley leather and features a custom perforation pattern designed in house. Every surface, from the door panels to the dash, is wrapped in leather or Alcantara. Raised diamond stitching, 3D printed components, and custom milled trim pieces create a luxurious feel while keeping the classic lines intact.

Even the smallest parts were engineered to perfection. The team laser cut the gauge cluster, added custom knobs and pull straps, and integrated the radio behind a clean Alcantara faceplate. Each button is laser etched and backlit, a nod to the craftsmanship that defines Flatout’s work.

“Every knob, every switch, every surface was customized,” Rob says. “Even the ignition key is a custom machined knob.”

The color combination is just as unique as the build itself. The exterior wears Hyper Red from Aston Martin paired with a Lightning Silver stinger, creating a bold, modern twist on the timeless Corvette shape.

This car was built start to finish in just one year, and the reveal at SEMA was the owner’s first time ever seeing it in person. The reaction said it all.

“He hadn’t seen a single picture of it,” Rob recalls. “When we unveiled it here at the show, he was blown away.”

From concept to reveal, this C2 Corvette proves how far passion and precision can take a build.
