An Impala You Could Not Miss
At SEMA 2024, some cars stop you mid walk. This 1963 Chevy Impala owned by Zach Pennock was one of those cars. If you have spent any time on Instagram lately, you have probably already seen it. The car has been everywhere, and for good reason.

Factory Hardtop Turned Chop Top
This Impala started life as a factory hardtop trunk car before the roof was cut and reshaped into a full chop top. The transformation completely changes the profile of the car and gives it an aggressive stance that still keeps the classic Impala lines intact.

Blown LS Power with Serious Goals
Under the hood sits a 408 cubic inch LS topped with a Stage Two BDS blower. The engine is finished with a CVF front drive, tying the entire engine bay together while keeping accessories compact and clean. The car is expected to make between 800 and 1000 horsepower once it hits the dyno.

Built Fast and Built Right
What makes this build even more impressive is the timeline. The entire car was built in just three months and fifteen days. The body was pulled, the frame was painted, hydraulics were installed front and rear, the interior was completed, and the car was fully wired and plumbed. Everything is controlled by a Holley Dominator system.

Hydraulics and Show Level Underside
The Impala runs full hydraulics front and rear, but the real surprise is underneath. The underside of the car is just as clean as the top side, with spatter coated frame and core supports and a fully painted bottom.

Gold Details Everywhere
Details are everywhere on this build. Chrome rear end, gold trailing arms, gold wishbone, gold steering components, and 24 karat gold Wilwood calipers at all four corners. Even the small vent sliders were finished in gold. Every time you walk around the car, something new stands out.

Driven Not Just Displayed
Despite the level of detail, this Impala is not just a showpiece. Zach drove the car at SEMA, proving it is more than capable of being used. It started as a personal passion project and turned into one of the most talked about cars at the show.
