Hot Rod Bio: 1969 Camaro 30 Day Whipple Build at SEMA 2025

Whipple Supercharged LS 1969 Chevy Camaro

A Full Build in Just 30 Days
Some builds are impressive because of the parts list. This 1969 Camaro is impressive because of the timeline. Harmeet brought this car to SEMA 2025 after completing a full ground up build in just 30 days. Thirty days earlier, the car was nothing more than a shell with no floor, sitting on a cart. What rolled into SEMA was a fully finished, fully functional, high horsepower monster.

Built from the Ground Up
This Camaro was built from scratch. The engine was assembled outside the car while the chassis and structure were being completed. A full floor was fabricated, suspension was designed and installed, and the entire car was assembled piece by piece under an extremely tight deadline. Every system had to work together the first time.

Serious Whipple Powered Performance
Under the hood sits a Whipple supercharged setup using CVF Racing’s Reaper drive system designed specifically for the Gen 6 three liter Whipple. The system features a dedicated dual belt design with a ten rib serpentine drive for the supercharger, allowing the car to support extreme boost levels reliably.

On the dyno, the car produced 1171 horsepower at 20 pounds of boost on race fuel. After multiple fuel changes and extensive dyno time, the car is now turned down for street use, making approximately 600 horsepower to the wheels and 670 lb ft of torque on pump gas. Even detuned, the car remains brutally fast.

Suspension Built to Handle the Power
The Camaro runs a QA1 Level Two handling kit with coilovers front and rear, along with front and rear sway bars. Out back is a custom four link suspension adapted to a Ford nine inch rear. Because the car uses a custom tube chassis, the suspension components were shortened and modified to fit properly, then fully aligned to ensure stability and drivability.

The rear is set up to accept much wider tires in the future, with plans to step up to thirteen or fourteen inch wide rubber to help put the power down.

Interior with Modern Function and Classic Style
Inside, the car blends modern electronics with a classic look. The seats were reupholstered to maintain a vintage feel, while Dakota Digital gauges integrate seamlessly with the Holley engine management system. The result is a cockpit that looks period correct while supporting modern performance.

CVF Racing billet window cranks and door handles were used to finish off the interior. These subtle upgrades clean up the cabin while maintaining a factory inspired appearance.

A custom center console sourced from a newer Camaro houses a B and M shifter, adding a performance oriented touch that fits the car’s aggressive nature.

Built by Dedication and Teamwork
Much of the work was done by Harmeet and his brother, with countless late nights and minimal sleep. Additional help from friends and sponsors provided access to fabrication tools, paint booths, and machining support. The build was only possible through teamwork and a relentless push to meet the deadline.

A 30 Day Commitment That Paid Off
This Camaro represents what can happen when commitment, planning, and effort all line up. From bare shell to four digit horsepower street car in just 30 days, it stands as one of the most impressive builds to roll through SEMA.
