Built Around the Traditional 6-71 & 8-71 Blower
These systems support compatible installations using the standard 6-71 and 8-71 Roots-style blower case. Applications include Weiand®, The Blower Shop® and other manufacturers using that case arrangement. Confirm the exact blower, snout, manifold and drive combination before choosing your kit.
Choose the Accessory Layout for Your Engine Bay
Mid-mount and wide-mount systems provide different accessory arrangements. Compare the installed dimensions with your chassis, steering components and radiator clearance. The selected layout must also work with the blower's cog belt, pulleys and idler position.
Available configurations include alternator only, power steering and alternator, A/C and alternator, or all three accessories. Kit contents vary with your selection; review the individual product page for the included water pump, pulleys, brackets, belt, hardware and accessories.
LS Roots Blower Serpentine System FAQs
Does the 8-rib serpentine belt drive the blower?
The 8-rib belt operates the engine accessories. The Roots supercharger uses its separate cog belt and pulley drive, which is not included with the Wraptor accessory system.
Will these kits fit any Roots-style supercharger?
These applications are built around compatible standard 6-71 and 8-71 blower arrangements. A different case size, nonstandard snout or modified drive needs a fitment review. Contact CVF Racing with your blower details before ordering.
What harmonic balancer is required?
The kits specify compatible aftermarket balancers, with ATI Super Damper and SFI-rated Fluidampr selections listed on the product pages. Match your balancer to the exact kit requirements.
Does a Weiand blower require any additional fitment checks?
Yes. The mid-mount application notes state that Weiand installations may require modification of the blower idler location. Review the instructions for your selected kit before installation.
Can I run A/C and power steering with a 6-71 or 8-71 blower?
Yes. Compatible Wraptor configurations are available with A/C, power steering and an alternator. Choose the appropriate configuration and confirm clearance for the complete installation.
