AN ADAPTER FITTINGS
CONNECT AN LINES TO METRIC, SAE & NPT PORTS

Connect your plumbing with CVF Racing AN adapter fittings. Shop -6AN and -10AN options for adapting compatible threaded ports to AN hose connections, including fittings used in power steering and other automotive fluid systems.

Choose available Black or Polished finishes to match your build. Before ordering, confirm both sides of the connection: AN size, component-port thread size and sealing style. Match the selected fitting to the fluid and operating pressure of your application.

Find the Right Adapter for Your Connection

Metric O-Ring Adapters

Connect AN lines to compatible metric O-ring ports with adapters such as the -6AN to M18 x 1.5 O-ring fitting. Confirm the port's thread diameter, pitch and sealing arrangement before selecting your adapter.

SAE & Inverted-Flare Adapters

Match the adapter to the specific connection on your pump, steering gear or other component. Thread size and sealing-seat design both matter when adapting an existing system to AN plumbing.

NPT-to-AN Adapters

Adapt compatible pipe-thread ports with options such as the -10AN to 3/8-inch NPT fitting, listed for low-pressure applications. Review each product's intended use rather than assuming every adapter is suitable for a power steering pressure line.

Complete your connections with compatible AN hoses and AN hose ends.

AN Adapter Fitting FAQs

What is the difference between an adapter fitting and a hose end?

An adapter fitting connects different port or connection types, such as a metric port to an AN connection. A hose end attaches to compatible hose and connects that hose to the mating fitting. Select both parts for the hose and system you're building.

Is matching the thread size enough?

No. Confirm the thread specification and sealing style. O-ring, inverted-flare and pipe-thread connections seal differently. Parts that appear to thread together may still have incompatible sealing surfaces.

Does -6AN describe the component's port thread?

It identifies the AN side of the adapter. The other side has its own specification, such as M18 x 1.5 or an SAE thread. Check the complete fitting description so both ends match your components.

Can every adapter be used on a power steering pressure line?

Use only components specified for the pressure, fluid and connection type involved. Some adapters are listed for low-pressure service. Confirm suitability for the pressure side, return side or reservoir connection before ordering.

Should I choose fittings by vehicle make?

Choose by the ports and components actually installed. Engine swaps, replacement steering gears and aftermarket pumps can change the connections required. Component identification and thread measurements are more useful than vehicle year alone.
