Choose Engine Covers for Your LS Build

LS Valley Covers

Explore billet valley covers for compatible Gen III and Gen IV LS configurations. Match the selected cover to your engine generation, knock sensor arrangement and oil pressure sensor requirements. Review the individual product notes before choosing a cover for a modified engine.

Billet & Fabricated LS Valve Covers

Choose valve covers that suit your engine and planned installation. Compare the available construction, finishes, ventilation connections and coil mounting requirements. Check clearance around the intake, ignition components and surrounding engine bay parts.

Plan Your Coil & Ventilation Layout

Valve cover changes can affect where ignition coils mount and how crankcase ventilation connects. Confirm whether your selected covers include coil brackets or require separate relocation hardware, and plan the breather or PCV connections for your build.

Chevy LS Engine Cover FAQs

What is the difference between a valley cover and a valve cover?

The valley cover fits between the cylinder heads beneath the intake manifold. Valve covers mount on the cylinder heads over the valvetrain. They serve different locations and should be selected separately for your engine configuration.

Are Gen III and Gen IV LS valley covers interchangeable?

Select the version specified for your engine and configuration. Sensor arrangements and other requirements differ, so check the product's generation options and application notes rather than choosing by appearance.

Can I retain my factory oil pressure sensor?

Check the selected valley cover's sensor requirements. The Gen IV option on CVF's billet knock-sensor-delete valley cover does not accept the factory oil pressure sensor and specifies an aftermarket sensor with a 1/8-inch NPT connection.

Can I keep my existing ignition coils with new valve covers?

Review the coil mounting requirements for the selected covers. Some configurations include coil brackets, while others require separate relocation hardware. Confirm mounting compatibility and wiring reach before installation.

What should I check before ordering LS engine covers?

Identify your engine generation and confirm sensor compatibility, coil mounting, ventilation connections and clearance. Review what is included with the selected covers, including gaskets, mounting hardware and fittings.
