Billet Cooling Component FAQs
Can I add AN connections without welding my radiator?
Yes, when the radiator outlet meets the clamp-on adapter's requirements. CVF compression adapters attach to compatible existing outlets. Check the measured outlet diameter, retaining-lip dimensions and installation space against the selected product specifications.
How do I choose the correct clamp-on adapter?
Select two things: the clamp size that fits your radiator or water pump outlet, and the AN size that matches your planned hose connection. The outlet diameter and AN size are separate specifications, so verify both.
Does a universal thermostat housing fit every engine?
Universal listings offer application choices. Select the correct engine or mounting configuration, then confirm the thermostat size, mounting pattern, sealing arrangement and outlet clearance. Do not choose by outlet size alone.
Should I choose -16AN or -20AN?
Choose the connection size required by your cooling-system design and compatible hoses and hose ends. Confirm the size at each connection before ordering so the thermostat housing, adapters and plumbing work together.
Will an AN housing work with my existing thermostat?
Compare your thermostat with the compatibility information for the selected housing and engine option. Thermostat dimensions and mounting arrangements vary, even when the hose connection is the same size.
