Can I install a GM 1-wire alternator on a Ford engine?
Yes, with a compatible alternator, bracket and mounting adapter. CVF offers an adapter kit for GM 10SI and 12SI alternators used with specified CVF Ford brackets. Select the correct engine and bracket option on the product page.
Can I reuse my original wiring with a higher-output alternator?
Check the existing wiring's capacity and condition against the new alternator's requirements. Cable size, cable length, circuit protection and grounding all matter. Follow the alternator and wiring kit instructions when planning the upgrade.
