AN HOSES FOR CUSTOM AUTOMOTIVE PLUMBING
-6AN, -10AN, -16AN & -20AN OPTIONS

Build your plumbing with CVF Racing AN hoses for compatible power steering, cooling and other automotive fluid applications. Explore Black and Stainless Steel options for replacement lines, engine swaps and custom builds. CVF AN hoses are backed by our lifetime warranty.

Choose hose by its intended use, construction, size and length. Confirm fluid compatibility, operating pressure and temperature requirements, then pair it with hose ends designed for that specific hose.

Choose the Right AN Hose for Each Line

Power Steering Pressure Hose

The pressure line from the pump to the steering gear requires hose and fittings suited to high-pressure service. CVF offers -6AN high-pressure PTFE hose in a 3-foot length. Match it with compatible high-pressure PTFE hose ends.

Return & Remote Reservoir Plumbing

Select return and reservoir-feed hoses according to your pump and reservoir requirements. These lines perform different jobs from the pressure line and may require different hose sizes. Our power steering reservoirs and AN lines guide explains the CVF plumbing arrangements.

Cooling-System Hose Options

Explore -16AN and -20AN hose options for compatible cooling connections. Match the selected hose to your thermostat housing, radiator and water pump adapters, and verify its listed coolant and temperature suitability.

Complete your assembly with compatible AN hose ends and adapter fittings. For radiator and water pump conversions, explore our billet cooling and AN components.

AN Hose FAQs

Can I use the same hose for every fluid line?

Select each hose for its specific application. Power steering pressure, return, reservoir-feed and cooling lines have different requirements. Check the product's fluid compatibility, pressure and temperature specifications before choosing.

Will any -6AN hose end fit a -6AN hose?

The AN size alone does not establish compatibility. PTFE hose and other hose constructions require matching hose-end designs. Confirm that the hose and hose end are intended to work together and meet the requirements of the application.

How do I determine the hose length I need?

Plan the installed route between connections, accounting for hose-end angles, bend requirements and component movement. Keep the route clear of exhaust heat, sharp edges and moving parts. Check the length supplied in the selected listing before ordering.

Does Black or Stainless Steel appearance determine the pressure rating?

Choose by the hose specifications rather than its outer appearance. Similar-looking braided hoses can have different liners, operating limits and hose-end requirements.

Are these hoses specific to an engine make?

Hose selection depends primarily on the connections and operating requirements of the system. For an LS, Chevy, Ford, Pontiac, Chrysler or other build, identify the components actually installed and match each hose to its intended job.
